You do not! In fact, our mantels have enough depth to look gorgeous even when installed against an existing wall without any fireplace opening. If you want extra depth to fit a large electric or liquid fuel firebox, you can easily make an opening in your existing wall.

All of our mantels are hand-carved from solid European marble. No lookalike products such as cast or molded stone of any kind are used on any of our mantels. We use the real deal only!

Absolutely! Marmoso is all about custom and making the vision of a designer or homeowner a reality. For custom measurements on one of our existing designs, simply select Custom Size on any mantel page when requesting a quote. For custom designs, submit a Custom Request with a brief description of the design you have in mind and one of our design executives will be in touch.

Marble is a natural stone and porous material. We recommend sealing your fireplace to protect it from spills and stains. Please consult your installer to help select and apply the right sealer. Please note that your fireplace may appear wet due to water used during the manufacturing process and during installation. We recommend allowing at least one week after installation for your fireplace to dry before sealing.

Placing an order starts with browsing our mantels and requesting a free quote or custom design - no deposit or payment needed. You can of course also simply email or call us! From there on, a design executive will create a sales order for you and help you through every step of the process.

All our mantels are made to order and ready for shipping within 6-8 weeks. Before preparing your order for shipping, we send pictures for your sign-off. Freight shipping transit times to any U.S. residential or commercial address are 6-8 weeks.

Yes. All Marmoso mantels are warranted to be free from defect or damage except for variations in color, pattern, texture and veining which are inherent in natural stone and carving by hand.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is due upon accepting a sales order and before releasing the order for production. The remaining 50% balance is due when the order is ready for shipment.

We currently only collect sales tax for orders shipped within the State of New York.

All mantels ship via specialized freight carrier and are securely wood-crated. Freight shipping times to any U.S. residential or commercial address are 6-8 weeks. We offer three convenient flat fee freight shipping options: curbside, in-home, and white glove. Curbside shipping includes delivery of the crate(s) to a business receiving dock or residential curbside or driveway. Threshold shipping includes delivery of the crate(s) across the first threshold (i.e., first room of the home). White glove shipping includes delivery of the crate(s) to any room of choice. All shipping options include a 4-hour delivery window scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Flat fee freight shipping rates start at $1,295 for curbside delivery on a standard order. A custom freight quote will be provided based on your shipping preferences as part of your order.

We securely wood-crate all our mantels and schedule a 4-hour delivery window at least 24 hours in advance. During delivery, the team will open the top of the crate(s) so you can inspect the mantel(s) before signing the delivery slip. Aside from opening the top of the crate, we recommend the mantel(s) to remain crated until ready for installation. We also recommend an experienced stone mason to handle the installation of the fireplace mantel(s).

Each order is carefully inspected prior to shipment and packaged in wooden crates. Although our mantels are crated very securely to prevent any damage, in rare cases damage may occur during shipment. In the unlikely scenario you notice any damage, please accept the shipment for delivery but note the damage on the delivery slip and contact us immediately to repair or replace your order.

All of our marble fireplace mantels are made to order. As such, we can not accept returns except in the case of defect or damage as covered by the warranty described above.
