Rosso Levanto

Rosso Levanto has been quarried for centuries along the Ligurian coast of Italy. Its deep wine-red color gave it a prominent place in Genoese churches and palaces from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance. Today it remains one of Italy's most recognizable richly colored marbles with a presence that feels both historic and strikingly current.

Rich burgundy tones are crossed by dramatic white calcite veining and occasional darker passages. The balance of color and movement changes naturally from block to block so every mantel has its own character. Used for a fireplace mantel, Rosso Levanto brings extraordinary depth and a jewel-like richness to both classical and contemporary interiors.

Rosso Levanto is available in solid blocks for hand-carving any Marmoso mantel, including custom designs.
