Volakas
Volakas takes its name from a village in the Drama region of Northern Greece, where this marble is quarried from the mountains around Falakro. Often referred to as the “Carrara of Greece,” the region is known for its striking white marble. The distinctive yet timeless character of Volakas has made it one of Greece’s most sought-after stones.
Volakas has a white background crossed by flowing diagonal veins in soft gray and beige tones. The movement varies naturally from block to block, ranging from delicate to more pronounced patterns. Carved into a fireplace mantel, its graceful veining adds character while preserving the calm and luminous appearance of a classic white marble.
Volakas is available across our Classics and Modern collections, as well as for custom mantels.
